The AI tutor
you think with
PapinAI explains out loud while it draws — and the board it draws on is yours to change. Move a box, fix a label, redraw an arrow: it reads what you changed and teaches on from there. Cut in whenever you want; it answers on the diagram already in front of you.
Watch one happen,
start to finish
A 3-minute video of a topic explained, drawn, and interrupted on the whiteboard.
Interrupting does not
start over
When you interrupt, Papin stops immediately, answers using the diagram already on the whiteboard, and continues without erasing everything.
1. You ask a question
Speak or type mid-sentence. The explanation halts instantly.
2. It answers on the board
Annotations, arrows, and highlights are added directly to the existing diagram.
3. It continues smoothly
Once your question is resolved, the lecture picks up where it left off.
How it works
From topic to interactive whiteboard lesson in under 2 minutes
- 1
1. Name a topic or attach source
Type a topic, upload a PDF, or paste a YouTube / Article link.
- 2
2. Papin makes a plan
It decides which objects are needed and how they connect, before drawing anything.
- 3
3. Drawing follows the voice
Objects appear exactly as the sentence is spoken, never racing ahead of the narration.
- 4
4. You cut in
It stops, answers on the object under discussion, then carries on where it left off.
1. Name a topic or attach source
Name any concept or attach study materials (PDFs, YouTube lectures, or articles). PapinAI speaks while sketching diagrams on the whiteboard.
Input: "Explain gradient descent" or [📄 PDF] or [▶️ YouTube Link]The board belongs to both of you
Unlike static video lessons, the whiteboard is shared in real-time between you and Papin.
Co-drawing
Draw shapes, write formulas, or move items with the pen. Papin notices and builds upon your input.
Cut in any time
No need to wait for a 20-minute video to finish before asking about step two.
Voice & Visual
The narration and diagram drawing occur in lockstep, pointing to elements as they are described.
Real Handwriting
Scribble your own formula with the pen, then ask. That sketch is read and answered directly on the board.
Ask by pointing
Click any diagram object to ask about it, and the AI tutor focuses on that exact node immediately.
Every board you draw stays yours
All your session boards are saved automatically to your account. Open any previous session anytime and pick up right where you left off, handwriting and diagrams intact.
View your saved boards→Bring your own document
Upload a PDF, research paper, lecture notes, or homework assignment. Papin reads it and teaches directly from your document, drawing relevant diagrams step by step.
What it cannot do yet
PapinAI is evolving fast, but we believe in honesty about current limitations. Here's what Papin is currently not designed for and what's coming soon.
- Fine-grained mathematical proofsStep-by-step rigorous epsilon-delta proofs or extensive symbol manipulation are still better done with dedicated symbolic CAS engines.
- Long documents get truncatedPDFs can be uploaded and read, scans included. But only the relevant chapters are sent — a thick 500-page book does not fit whole.
- Coding & live executable environmentsPapin explains software architectures and algorithms visually, but doesn't run live Python or terminal sandboxes inside the canvas yet.
- Rapid multi-turn voice debateVoice recognition is optimized for interactive tutoring and pauses, not for rapid-fire multi-person debating.
