The Part That's Ready: What Sets Us Apart

Papin is a whiteboard you draw on yourself, and a tutor that continues your drawing — or lets you modify its own sketches and picks right back up from your changes. That is one sentence, and every word of it can be verified on screen in thirty seconds.

Papin is a whiteboard you draw on yourself, and a tutor that CONTINUES your drawing, rather than drawing its own version next to it.

That is one sentence, and every word of it can be verified on screen in thirty seconds.

Why not something more seductive

Not interruption. Six competitors advertise live voice barge-in as of August 2026, so it is no longer a differentiator — just table stakes.

Not speed. We have never benchmarked it to brag, and time-to-first-token sits at 5.4 seconds on p50. Promising speed you cannot consistently deliver is a mistake that has already happened three times on this project.

Not "an AI that draws". Everyone can generate diagrams now, and the ChatGPT canvas you showed yesterday was tidier than Papin's. Fighting on that turf is already losing.

The direction of work that nobody else has

What remains, and what no one else possesses, is the direction of the work.

They produce diagrams for you to look at. Papin steps inside the diagram you have already drawn and continues it.

And this loop works both ways: Papin can sketch an initial architecture, you step in with your own pen to modify a box, rewire a connection, or add a missing step, and then tell it to continue from there. It reads your modifications directly from the board's spatial graph, adopts your edits, and builds the next beat without redrawing the board or undoing what you just fixed.

Your boxes are not shifted, not erased, and not renamed. That is not a marketing promise — it is something that has its own test suite running in CI today.
